The nature reserve of Zelenci is located at the three-countries-corner at the spring of the River Sava. Viewing from the slopes of Mount Vitranc, the fount has the looks of an emerald and it is the home of some interesting fauna and flora. The swampland is the remainder of a glacial lake, now splattered with turquoise ponds. Fed by underground springs, the River Sava Dolinka finds its start here. The moor is rich of rare plants and favoured by different brid species for their hatchery.
