The idyllic valley of Rakov Škocjan came when an underground gallery collapsed on a distance of 6 kilometers, as indicated by the leftovers of two vaults, the smaller and the greater natural bridge. The River Rak rises at the valley’s entrance. Between the slopes of the forest, there are spelunkers transversals, hiking trails and scientific natural trails. Since 1949 this area is a protected Nature Reserve.
