Just a few kilometres away from the entrance to the cave of Postojna you’ll catch sight of on of the most picturesque buildings of Slovenia. The castle of Predjama, with its four levels, is literally hovering amidst a rock face of 123 m of height – somehow overbearingly simple, impregnable and full of rigidity. Todays looks were achieved not until the end of 16^th century although its history reaches back until 1201. Little imagination is needed to ascertain this place is tailor-made for a queer and insurgent knight. As a matter of fact, there is a romantic and beautiful story of the Chevalier Erasmus linked to this castle, a legend recalled by the Erasmus course. This castle is a “must-be-visited”.
