The Carthusian Monastery Pleterje was founded in 1407, dissolved in 1595 and recalled to life in 1904. The target of the Carthusian is to serve god and fellow men, at the common liturgy as well as at solitary praying, studying or working. To be toured is the gothic church, sanctyified in 1420, the open-air Museum of Ethnic Architecture of the 19th Century and a multivisiopn presentation of the life in the monastery. On sale at the charterhouse are the products, harvested or crafted by the monks.
