The headstone of the examplary health resort in Rogažka Slatina has been laid in the medieval times as indicated by a Latin inscription on the spring, that has been erected for the sick and invalid. The development of the health resort is linked with aristrocratic names and crowned heads and since the 17^th century also with science. At that time a monograph with an analysis of the mineral water of Rogažka has been published, written by Johann B. Grundel, a physicist from Maribor. History tells wise stories.

Nowadays Rogažka stands for top quality, satisfying even demanding guests. At the same time Rogažka has initiated research of mineral springs and is leading in this area within Slovenia. On top of the mineral spring Donat, which is particularly rich in magnesium, they erected a pavillon, marking the energetic centre of the resort. Classism, Art Nouveau and modernity give a mix; old health treatments with drinking cures coexist with modern, general methods to strengthen and recover health, especially with digestive and metabolic deseases.
