Slovenian gambling and amusement tourism bases on a complete variety of all games of chance and in addition to shopping and supply, recreational and cultural offers. Thus the Slovenian variation of American concepts of casinos is widened by a cultural and touristical dimension, demonstrating a new perspective in the devellopment for the entire European region.

There are 10 casinos in Slovenia today. The first one arose in Portoroz, 30 years ago; followed by Blöed, Maribor, Nova Gorica, Lipica, Ljubljana, Kranjska Gora, Rogaška Slatina and Otosec. The largest and most recent and the same time is the Casino Perla in Nova Gorica; run by the enterprise HIT, it’s realisation marking a new business philosophy of the Slovenian gambling industry. Due to the high level of performance, amusement tourism lead the way for the Slovenian tourism branch. Continous visits and its popularity by natives and foreign guests confirm the rightness of orientation in favour of this development in European gambling operations. Still there are many opportunities to create new and inventive ideas for gambling.
