The country of forests is a great experience for hunters, the clean rivers and lakes a pure attraction to anglers. Slovenia kept a lot of fish grounds and their natural beauty, untouched by destabilizing projects of water management. Slovenia offers clear alp rivers and lakes, dreamy Karst waters, rivlets, deep mountain rivers and most peculiar Karst lake, spotted periodically, providing the chance to get in touch with varied, natural biotopes and their special life conditions. The Fishery Institute of Slovenia takes care of some most typical and well preserved fish grounds at the rivers Soca (Isonzo), Sava Bohinjka, Radovna, Krka and Unec. A wide range of fish species are accurately nourished in these rivers, amongst them some types of trout, which has fortunately settled in the river system of the coast land. The Slovenian hunting grounds allow the hunt of brown bear, roe deer, stag, wild pig, chamois, moufflon, fallow deer and small game (hare, pheasant, mallard) and lilttle predators (fox, badger, pine and beech marten).
