The coast of Slovenia is short but packed with opportunities for bathing. An exceptional resort is Portoroz, but there are plenty of spots in all coastal towns. Ideal is a bath in the lakes of Bled, Bohinj and Cerknica, providing extremely clear and well temperatured water. The bathing areas of Istria consist of 242 km of coast line with deep turquoise waters and well developed tourism – a perfect addition to a Slovenia. A couple of resorts count to the best of the Mediterranean Sea. The coast of Istria is mainly rocky. Between those rocks you’ll find bays with small beaches, often covered with stone plateaus or pebble. Almost anywhere at the coastline, there are bathing spots, nicely arranged behind the rocks with lying areas on gras. Rubber sandals are recommended to access the water. An inflatable mattress is nice to have for sunbathing between the rocks. There are unseen small bays between rock and pinewood. Many old fishing villages invite for a rest, providing richly tourist pleasures. Istria is within close reach of Slovenia, offering unsurpassable impressions and exceptional experiences of original beauty.
