Enjoy your holiday between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea. Slovenia, the small country laid in-between Austria, Italy, Hungary and Croatia offers a miniature of Europe far beyond any mass tourism. Almost 50 kilometres of Adriatic coastline with picturesque villages and idyllic beaches, lots of mysterious stalactite caves, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes and mighty castles, palaces and baroque towns like Ljubljana and Maribor.

You must have been there to discover that wonderful and unique country of Slovenia. Have you discovered it yet?

The perfect holiday combination: seaside and country...

Combine your beach holiday with an extension in the beautiful back-country. It takes only two hours from the Adriatic coast to the ski-regions of the Alps. Even short side trips to neighbouring countries can be easily included - why not see nearby Venice.

There's much to see and enjoy: experience architectural treasures and unending sights and attractions like lakeside Bled, the studs of Lipica or the Triglav national park with its summit at more than 3000 metres, its canyons and torrential waterfalls.

The old town of Ljubljana enchants with an extraordinary atmosphere, cafés, galleries, boutiques and colourful marketplaces. Discover Slovenia and learn more about some of its highlights: All the sights from A to Z…

Slovenia, a wide range of leisure facilities...

Slovenia, the country “on the sunny side of the Alps", is a neatly small country, where one sleeps well, eats well and drinks as well of the good native wines. A country with the charm of the Mediterranean including its mild climate, particularly at the coast-line where cities like Piran, Izola and Portoroz are awaiting you from March until middle of November.

Wintertime is the season of Slovenia's northern part: top ski-resorts as Krajnska Gora and Rogla, comparably with the ski-regions in Italy and Austria, are on service from December to February. Slovenia generally has a wide range of leisure facilities to offer, guesthouses and good restaurants all around.

If you are looking for action or relaxation, you will find it in Slovenia: carting, cycling, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, water sports, rafting, cavern diving, ski-departure or cross-country skiing, riding, golf or paragliding... just to mention a few. Everything is possible in Slovenia and even more. Leisure activities from A to Z…
